### Stop Getting Colds!

 

People get golds easily in fall and winter.

Many people cough and have a runny nose.

Some people even have a fever.

So, it is important to protect yourself.

Here are three tips.

 

@ Wash Your Hands

When you touch things, germs get your hands.

When these germs enter your body, you become sick.

So, wash your hands often with soap.

This will get rid of germs.

 

@ Use a Humidifier

During fall and winter, the air gets drier.

Dry air makes your nose dry.

When your nose is dry, it cannot trap germs.

A humidifier adds moisture to the air.

Then, your nose won't get so dry.

 

@ Go to Sleep

Your immune system protects you from illnesses.

When you are tired, this immune system becomes weak.

So, remember to sleep for eight hours each night.

Then, your immune system can do its job.

### World's Loudest Bird

 

Meet the loudest bird in the world.

But be sure to cover your ears!

It is called the white bell-bird.

It lives in the Amazon rain-forest.

The male white bell-bird likes to sing.

It sings to attract a mate.

But the male bird sings very loudly.

Its song can reach 125 decibels.

That is as loud as a jet engine!

It is also a world record for birds.

### K-pop World Festival

 

These days, there are many fans of K-pop music around the world.

This year, 6,400 teams from 84 countries took part in a big competition.

The event is called the K-pop World Festival.

In it, teams choose their favorite K-pop songs.

They sing and dance to the song.

Then, the judges give them a score.

In October, the 13 best teams performed in Changwon.

They competed in the final round.

A singer from Ireland won this year's festival.

He sang the song "Solo" by Jennie of Blackpink.

### Most Expensive Chocolate

 

Do you like chocolate?

How much do you pay for it?

On October 22, an Indian food company set a Guinness World Record.

It made the most expensive chocolate in the world.

The company's chefs used white chocolate, vanilla beans, and coffee.

They used the best ingredients.

The chocolate costs 7 million won per kilogram.

So, each small box costs about 105,000 won!

Mailmen deliver letters and packages.

In Korea, they ride motorcycles.

Now, the post office has new cars for mailmen.

They are electric cars.

The electric cars are safer than motorcycles.

They are less dangerous on rainy or snowy days.

Also, the cars are good for the environment.

They don't make pollution. 

This year, the post office got 1,000 electric cars for mailmen.

In the future, it will get more cars.
