### Sinkhole in Pittsburgh

 

Pittsburgh is a city in the United States.

In November, a surprising thing happened there.

A city bus was waiting at a traffic light.

Suddenly, the ground opened up.

It was a sinkhole.

It swallowed part of the bus!

Most sinkholes are natural.

But they can be man-made, too.

They sometimes appear in cities.

Sinkholes happen when there is a lot of water in the ground.

The water erodes the rocks and minerals.

This makes the ground weak.

Then, it can suddenly collapse.

This is what happened in Pittsburgh.

Thankfully, no one on the bus was hurt.

### Prince Corgi

 

Corgis are a kind of dog.

The Queen of England owns many of them.

They live together in Buckingham Palace.

Now, the Queen's corgis have their own movie!

It is titled "Prince Corgi."

The animated movie is about Rex.

He is the top dog in Buckingham Palace.

One day, Rex gets lost in London.

So, he has to get back home.

"Prince Corgi" opens on Christmas Eve.

### Korean Cultural Festival

 

In November, a big festival was held in Texas.

It was a Korean cultural festival.

This year, over 120,000 people took part in the event.

There, people experienced many things.

There was a parade.

A band played Koreans traditional musical instruments.

Some visitors tried on Korean traditional cloths, called hanbok.

Then, they took a picture.

Later, cooks made a giant bibimbap.

Everyone shared the Korean food.

"Korean culture is exciting," one visitor said.

### 56 to Nothing

 

Recently, there was a soccer game in Brazil.

Two women's teams played each other.

The final score will surprise you.

It was 56 to nothing!

One team was the best in the league.

The other was the worst team.

However, the players in the worst team didn't give up.

They did their best.

So, they were proud of themselves.

Many fans cheered them, too.

### Venice Floods

 

Venice is located in northern Italy.

It is famous for being a city on water.

Venice is built on many small islands.

It has over 170 canals.

People ride gondolas on the canals.

In November, Italy got a lot of rain.

This caused a big flood in Venice.

The water level rose to 1.6 meters.

It was the highest in 50 years.

Over 85 percent of Venice was flooded.

Many important buildings got damaged.

The Italian government promised to help Venice.

Hopefully, the city can return to normal soon.
