### Drone Racing

 

In December, a drone race took place in the United States.

Many drones competed in the air.

The drones flew around objects.

Their speed was over 110 kilometers an hour.

The drone pilots were on the ground.

They wore video goggles.

This way, they controlled the drones.

This year, even A.I. drones entered the contest.

The human pilots beat the computers.

It was very exciting.

### Koalas in Danger

 

Recently, there was a huge fire in Australia.

It burned much of the forest on the east coast.

The forest was home to koalas.

So, the animals unfortunately lost their homes.

Koalas live in eucalyptus trees.

The eucalyptus leaves are also their favorite food.

However, the fire destroyed the trees.

Some koalas lost their lives.

"Sadly, they were very helpless," said a biologist.

"They were too slow to run away."

Fortunately, there is hope for the koalas.

The Australian government will help the animals in many ways.

Also, eucalyptus tress grow back quickly.

Happy Lunar New Year!

This year, Seollal is on January 25.

It is a special holiday in Korea.

Let's learn some things about Lunar New Year.

This year is the Year of the Rat.

There are 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac.

The first one is the Rat.

Many people are born in the Year of the Rat.

According to the Chinese Zodiac, they are hard workers.

They are also bright and outgoing.

So, they make friends easily.

During Lunar New Year, people spend time with family.

They visit their relatives' homes.

Together, they eat traditional foods, such as rice cake soup.

They also play a special board game.

It is called Yutnori.

Some people have special rituals for their ancestors.

They also visit their ancestors' graves.

They do this to remember them.

Tesla is a car company in the United states.

It builds and sells electric cars throughout the world.

In November, Tesla introduced its latest car.

It is called the Cyber-truck .

It is the company's first electric truck.

The Cyber-truck is made of shiny metal.

It is shapes like a box with many sharp angles.

"It does not look like any other truck," one reviewer said.

"Its design is unique."

The company says there are other good points about the Cyber-truck.

For example, it is powerful and tough.

Its battery can last a long time.

The Cyber-truck will go on sale in 2021.

### Asian Archery Championships

 

Korean archers are the best in the world.

In November, they set an amazing record.

They were at the 2019 Asian Archery Championships.

It took place in Thailand.

Twenty nine countries took part in the event.

In total, Korean archers got 13 medals.

They are nine gold medals, two silver medals, and two bronze medals.

"We will also do our best at the 2020 Summer Olympics," the Korean archers said.
