Would you want to visit the deepest part of the ocean?

A man named Victor Vescovo actually did this.

He recently made the deepest ocean dive in history.

Vescovo is an American explorer and millionaire.

He has done many amazing and difficult things.

For example, he has climbed Mount Everest and visited the North Pole and the South Pole.

Recently, Vescovo traveled to the deepest part of the world's oceans.

It is called the Challenger Deep.

It is in the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean.

Vescovo got into a special submarine for one person and traveled to the bottom of the challenger Deep.

He went about 10.9 kilometers down.

He broke the world record for the deepest ocean dive.

The previous record was set by American filmmaker James Cameron, who directed the movies, "Titanic" and "Avatar."

During his trip, Vescovo saw many amazing and unusual kinds of ocean life.

Still, he was thrilled to make the incredible journey.

He went to a part of the world no one has ever gone to before.
