"일정을 미루다"라고 말하고 싶을 때 "postpone", "push back"과 같은 표현을 쓴다는 것은 일반적으로 널리 알려진 표현들이지만 의외로 많이 모르는 표현은 그 말의 반대인 "앞당기다". 이번 영상에서는 "(일정 따위)를 앞당기다" , "앞당겨지다"를 영어로 어떻게 표현하는지 빠르게 배우겠습니다.

1.우리가회의를 화요일로 앞당겼어

We moved up the meeting to Tuesday.

2.회의가 화요일로 앞당겨졌어요.

The meeting has been moved up to Tuesday.

3.회의가 화요일로 앞당겨졌어요.- 애초에 그렇게 할려던 계획이 있었거나 / 동기가 있었거나 / 앞당겨졌을때 더 유리한 상황일때 

We got the meeting moved up to Tuesday.

B : 그랬었는데 시험 기간이랑 겹쳐서 다시 앞당겨졌어.

Is this homework due by the end of this week? 주말끝까지 강조 

• due : 동사로 사용 : 언제까지가 기한이야?   까지 (by)전치사도 필요없다.

Wasn't it pushed back to next week? / Wasn't it postponed to next week? 아니었어?

I thought it pushed back / postponed to next week. 그런줄알았어.

 

B :

It was but it was / got moved back up because it's test week.

• be / get back moved up  다시 앞당겨지다 - 수동태 : 다시 again 보다 back 사용

• 겹친다 overlap / conflict 시험기간이기때문에에는 겹친다의미가 내포되어있어서 생
