"제가 재택근무를 이제 1년도 훨씬 넘게 하고 있는데요 비록 제가 오랫동안 원하던 것이었지만 힘든 점이 물론 없지는 않아요. 제 마음대로 스케쥴을 짤 수 있다는 것은 사실이에요,  근데 그게 엄청 좋을 것 같지만 일을 규칙적으로 하기 위한 통제력을 유지하는 것이 엄청 스트레스가 되기도 해요.  제 친구들은 제가 집에서 일을 할 수 있어서 엄청 편리하겠다고 말을 하는데, 물론 편리하죠, 근데 평소에 일과 개인생활을 구분하려고 항상 어려워하고 있어요. 왜냐면, 저는 자는 곳에서 일을 하고 일하는 곳에서 잠을 자는 것이나 다름이 없거든요. 그리고 일을 하는 동시에 개인적으로 볼 일을 보고 있는 경우가 다반사거든요."

 

I've been working from home for well over a year now and although it's something that I'd been wanting to do for a long time, it's certainly not without its challenges. It's true, I can be as flexible as I want with my schedule but as great as that sounds, it can get extremely stressful to maintain the discipline that it takes to make sure that I'm working regularly. My friends tell me that it must be really convenient to be able to work in my own home and sure it's convenient, but then, I'm constantly struggling to draw the line between work and personal life because I'm practically working where I sleep and sleeping where I work. And more often than not, I'm trying to take care of personal errands and trying to get work done at the same time.

비록 제가 오랫동안 원하던 것이었지만 힘든 점이 물론(확실히) 없지는 않아요.

• it's not without its drawback  단점이 없는것은 아니다

 

제 마음대로 스케쥴을 짤 수 있다는 것은 사실이에요

It's true, I can be as flexible as I want with my schedule

• be flexible with (something) - (무엇)을 하는 데에 있어 유동적이다/유연하다

• I can eat as much as I want -  내가 원하는 만큼 먹을수가 있다. / 내가 마음대로 먹을수가 있어

• I can be as flexible as I want - 내가 원하는 만큼 유동적으로 될수가 있다.

 

근데 그게 엄청 좋을 것 같지만 일을 규칙적으로 하기 위한 통제력을 유지하는 것이 엄청 스트레스가 되기도 해요.

• discipline   ˈdɪsəplɪn   규율, 훈육 /  절제력

• take  필요하다로 해석 - 내가 필요한것이아니라 그것을 하기위해서 그것이 필요한것

• 어떤게 하기위해서 어떤게 필요하다  - it takes a lot of discipline. 뭔가를 하기위해선 절제력이 필요하다.

 

제 친구들은 제가 집에서 일을 할 수 있어서 엄청 편리하겠다고 말을 하는데, 물론 편리하죠, 근데 평소에 일과 개인생활을 구분하려고 항상 어려워하고 있어요.

왜냐면, 저는 자는 곳에서 일을 하고 일하는 곳에서 잠을 자는 것이나 다름이 없거든요.

because I'm practically working where I sleep and sleeping where I work.

And more often than not, I'm trying to take care of personal errands and trying to get work done at the same time.

그리고 일을 하는 동시에 개인적으로 볼 일을 보고 있는 경우가 다반사거든요.
