긴 설명 없이 정확하고 자연스럽게 해석을 잘 해놓은 문장만 봐도 많은 것을 배울 수 있다는 belief를 저는 가지고 있습니다.  이번 영상은 그것을 테스트 해보기 위한 [ 영어 다이어리 시리즈 중 첫 번째 : EPISODE #01 - 강아지 옷사주기 ] 편입니다.  우리말로 설명을 전혀 하지 않고 오로지 자막으로 해석된 문장만 보여드리는 형식입니다.

 

 

확실히 겨울이긴 하네요. 우리는 춥고 특히 눈이 올때는 어디 안가고 그냥 안에 있는걸 좋아하는 사람도 많은 반면, 개는 언제나 나가는걸 더 좋아하는것 같아요.

It’s definitely Winter and while a lot of us like to stay inside when it’s cold, especially when it’s snowing,dogs seem to always prefer going out.

 

제가 키우는 개들입니다. 큰 애는 앰버입니다. 골든리트리버입니다.

These are my dogs.  The large one is Amber - She’s a golden retriever.

 

작은애는 브론디입니다. 이탈리안 그레이 하운드이죠

The small one is Brodi - He’s an Italian greyhound.

 

앰버는 추운날씨가 전혀 신경 쓰이지 않는 모양이예요.

Amber never seems to mind the cold.

 

그녀한테는 심지어 거실이 너무 더울 때가 많아서 화장실 바닥에서 잘 때도 있어요.

She even sleeps on the bathroom floor sometimes because the living room is often too warm for her.

 

그런 반면 (다른한편으로는) 브론디는 ... 

But Brodi on the other hand,..

 

그냥 겨울을 아주 좋아하는 편은 아니라고만 해두죠.

Well, let’s just say that Winter isn’t his favorite season.

 

걔가 따뜻하게 입을 수 있는걸 사야겠다는 생각이 들었어요. 나갈때 입는 용으로요.

I realized I needed to get him something warm he can wear.  You know, for when we go out.

 

바로 인터넷으로 검색을 하다가 이탈리안 그레인하운드만을 위해 제작된 여러가지 옷을 파는 웹사이트를 찾았는데 다 꽤 괜찮아 보이더라고요.

I did a quick search on the Internet. I found a website where they had a bunch of different types of clothes made just for Italian Greyhounds and they all looked pretty nice.

보니깐 웹사이트에 채팅 지원이 있더라고요.

I noticed they had chat support on their website.

 

한국에 오프라인 매장이 있는지 묻고 싶었어요. 그래서 제가 이렇게 물었어요.

And I wanted to ask if they had an offline store in Korea and this is what I asked.

 

안녕하세요. 방문해서 상품을 구매할 수 있는 오프라인 매장이 한국에 있는지 알고 싶습니다.

HI, I'd like to know if you guys have an offline store (in South Korea) that I can visit and purchase products.

 

잠시후에 답변이 왔는데 한국어인거예요!

And after a while I got a reply and it was in Korean!

 

알아보니깐 한국회사더라고요.근데 상관없어요.

Turns out, it’s actually a Korean company, and that’s fine.

 

그게 사실은 더 좋은게 고객.판매자의 관계를 오래 유지하기가 더 쉽거든요. 뭔말인지 알죠?

That’s actually better because it makes it easier for me to have a long term buyer-and-seller relationship, (do) you know what I mean?

아무튼, 오프라인 매장이 없다고 하더라고요.

Anyway, they told me they didn’t have any offline stores.

 

근데 그들의 도움으로 보르디의 정확한 치수를 재서 줄 수가 있어서

But with their help, I was able to give them some precise size measurements of my dog, Brodi

브로디를 위한 좋은 코트를 주문할 수 있었어요.

and I was able to put in an order for a really nice coat for him.

그리고 타이밍도 좋았어요. 지금 크리스마스 세일 중이거든요. 꽤 잘(좋은가격에) 산거 같아요.

And it was good timing, too, because they’re having a Christmas sale now and I think I got a pretty good deal.
