"많을수록 좋지", "작을수록 들고 다니기는 편할거야." 처럼 우리가 일상적으로 얘기를 할 때 이런식의 '비례식 묘사'를 흔히 하는 편이다.  이번 영상에서는 이것을 영어로 자연스럽게 말하기 위한 가장 기초적인 내용을 다뤄봅니다.  이번 영상은 2부 중 첫번째 Part 1입니다.

 

• 많을수록 좋다

• the more the better

• 이를수록 좋다.

• the earlier the better (시간.시점.시기)

• the sooner the better (시기) 

• 가까울수록 좋다.

• the closer the better

 

• 최대한 빨리 / 일찍

• as soon as possible

 

• 작을수록 좋아

• the smaller the better 

 

• 작을수록 가격이 더 싸 (저렴해)

작을수록 들고 다니기는 쉬워 그렇다고해서 꼭 작을수록 좋은 것만은 아니야.

The smaller it is the easier it is to carry but that doesn't ( necessarily) mean the smaller the better.

• 그렇다고 해서 ~ 한것만은 아니야

• that doesn't mean ...

• 그렇다고해서 꼭 좋은것만은 아니야  + 작을수록 좋다 

• but that doesn't necessarily mean + the smaller the better

 

왜냐하면 작을수록 안에 넣고 다닐수 있는게 적어지니까 

because the smaller it is the less stuff you can carry in it.
