Who is the most famous Korean opera singer?

Many people would say that it is Jo su-mi.

Jo is a soprano opera singer.

She was born in Chang-won, South Korea, in 1962.

As a child, she learned how to sing and play the piano.

In university, she moved to Italy and studied with many famous voice teachers.

After graduating, she began touring around the world.

She sang in many countries, including France, Germany, Chile, and United States.

She also sang at many important international events.

They include the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics and the Pyeongchang Olympics.

During her career, Jo has received various awards and honers.

In 1993, she won a Grammy Award.

In 2016, she was nominated for an Academy Award.

Earlier this year, she was given a medal and a knighthood by the Italian government.

In May, she released a new album called "Mother."
