American pop star Taylor Swift has been heating up the charts with her new album, titled "Lover."

But at the same time, she is also making some unusual plans for her past albums.

Swift released "Lover" at the end of August, and in its first week, the new album sold over 600,000 copies.

It became the sixth time for the 29-year-old singer to top the Billboard 200.

"Thank you so much for one of the best weeks of my life," Swift told her fans on social media.

Born in 1989, Swift began her singing career at the tender age of 14.

She was only 17 when she got a recording contract and made her debut album in 2006.

Over the years, she released a total of seven albums that sold over 50 million copies worldwide.

She is known for writing most of her own songs, many of which have deeply personal lyrics.

@ Swift's Unusual Plan

Along with the success of her latest album, Swift also made the news for a very different reason.

Like most musicians, Swift doesn't own the master recordings to her older albums.

Instead, she receives a percentage of the profits from the sales.

Recently, however, her record label sold these master recordings to a businessman.

What's worse, this businessman was someone Swift has long considered her enemy.

Fortunately, Swift is legally allowed to rerecord her own songs after a set period of time.

So, starting this November, the singer-songwriter said she would rerecord and release new versions of all her old albums.

After taking this unusual step, she will have complete ownership of the new versions.
