In recent years, dressing up in colorful hanbok has become popular among local youths and foreign tourists.

They would rent traditional Korean clothes and take pictures around Gyengbokgung Place and other sites.

These days, however, a different kind of outfit has become a hot trend, particularly among people in their 20s.

These young adults are putting on their old high school uniforms and going out in public.

The unusual fashion trend was sparked by recent promotional events at Lotte World and other amusement parks.

In order to attract middle and high school students, the parks began providing discounts to those in school uniforms.

Soon, people in their 20s and 30s started to show up in their old uniforms, too. and the trend caught on.

Now, they can be seen hanging out in downtown areas, as well as at amusement parks.

As a result, shops that rent different styles of school uniforms have popped up all over the city.

People can choose from stylish uniforms that were seen on hit TV show like "Produce 101" and "Idol School."

Korean adults say that wearing the uniforms makes them feel nostalgic.

They can imagine they are back in high school and can recall cheerful memories with their friends.

Foreign visitors also enjoy trying on Korean school uniforms and experiencing another side of Korean culture.

Many of these tourists first got interested in the uniforms after seeing K-pop singer wear them during performances.

So, when they visit Korea, they wish to try out this unique fashion style.
