Korean female golfers playing in the United States ended the decade with another tremendous year.

Throughout the 2019 season, they dominated the LPGA tour.

The year began with an LPGA tournament victory by Ji Eun-hee in Florida in January.

Korean golfers then followed that up with a string of individual trophies.

In total, they combined for wins at 15 out of 32 LPGA tournaments played in 2019.

That included three of the five major titled offered on the tour.

Out of all the Korean players, Ko Jin-young undoubtedly gave the best performance.

After being named Rookie of the Year in 2018, Ko continued her phenomenal pace in the following year.

The top-ranked Korean was named the LPGA Player of the Year after winning four titles, including two majors.

Another top performer was Lee Jeong-eun, who joined the LPGA tour this season.

Despite her inexperience, she won the U.S.Women's Open in June and was named Rookie of the Year.

Amazingly, this is the fifth consecutive year for a Koreans to take home the LPGA rookie prize.

However, 2019 is no fluke, because for over a decade, Korean golfers have had great success on the LPGA tour.

It all began with Park Se-ri, that first Korean to play in the LPGA.

Now retired, Park was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame after playing from 1998 to 2016.

Park inspired many generations of young Korean girls to take up golfing and dream of championships.

Now, the nation is considered one of the strongest in women's golf.
