Slime Toys Recalled

Slime is one of the most popular toys in Korea.

Young children especially love the squishy material, which comes in various colors.

However, there is a problem with many of the slime toys on the market.

In November, the government released a report on 148 slime toys.

It said that 100 of the products contained toxic substances.

According to the report, 87 of the 100 slime toys had traces of boron.

With constant exposure, this chemical can harm the development of children.

Besides boron, other substances were found that could cause allergic reactions.

The government said that the 100 slime toys in question will be recalled.

Also, it made the list of problematic toys available on two websites: www.safetykorea.kr and www.consumer.go.kr
