☑️ 영상에서도 설명하고 있듯이 "I wish" 또한 가정법을 따르게 됩니다. 그래서 I wish you told us 라고 하면 과거에 있었던 일에 대한 얘기가 아니라 현재(방금 일어난)에 대한 가정이지만 영상에서 말하는 "I wish you had told us"는 과거에 이미 일어난 일에 대한 내용이기 때문에 과거완료형이 쓰여야 합니다.

☑️ 이어서, didn't eat가 아니라 hadn't eaten 이라고 해야 하는 이유는 먹지 않았던 것이 "told us" 우리에게 말을 했던(하지 않았던) 것 이전에 일어난 일(대과거)이기 때문에 단순과거가 아닌 과거완료형이 쓰여야 합니다.
