Habitats for Mars 본문
Humans are planning to go to Mars in the future.
When astronauts get there, they will need a place to live.
So, what will these Mars homes look like?
In September, NASA released images of some possible habitats for Mars.
The designs were selected through a worldwide contest.
Out of 60 teams, NASA chose the team with the best and most realistic ideas.
The winning design was created by the team, AI Spacefactory.
The habitats look like tall, round pods.
They are four stories high.
The habitats are comfortable for astronauts because they have many rooms and facilities.
They include separate bedrooms, a kitchen, and a lab.
They also have windows and a skylight.
What's more, astronauts can build the habitats on Mars without help.
This is important because they will be so far from Earth.
The astronauts will use 3D printers to print the structures and put them together.
Also, much of the habitat will be made with volcanic rock on Mars.
It is a very common material on the Red Planet.
"Someday, we may use these habitats on Mars missions," a NASA official said.
