#. 영어회화 | 표현 | "알다" 의 9가지 유형

 

어떤 사실이나 정보 따위에 대해서 '알게 되다'라는 표현을 get to know 라고 하면 안되는거 알고 있었나요? '알다'로 해석은 똑같이 되지만 그것이 내포하는 의미에 따라서 굉장히 많은 말들이 있다. - know, understand, find out, notice, realize, recognize, be familiar with, be aware with 그리고 심지어 tell까지 이번 영상에서는 이 단어, 표현들을 자연스럽고 올바르게 사용하는걸 배워봅니다.

 

Know – 어떤 지식을 알다, 알고있는 상태

 

I know the way there.

I know his phone number.

I know where she lives.

I don't know why there are so many people there.

 

Understand – 이해하다, 알다  

 

I understand how you feel.   I understand why she did that, but I don’t agree with her decision. I don’t understand what it means.  Find out – 사실을 알게 되다. Cf. get to know(x), become to know (x)

 

I found out about that just yesterday. 어제서야  Figure out – 어떤 상황이나 문제에서 방법을 알게 되다, 알아내다.

I figured out how to use it. I figured out how to get there. I figured out how to set up the alarm.  Realized – 알게 되다. (모든 과정이 머릿속에서만 발생함) 깨달았어.

I finally realized what the problem was. I finally found out ~ (? x)  Notice – 변화된/특이한 점을 캐치하다.  ~했더라고 (외부 상황 / 보고 듣고 만져보고 / 과 관련) / notify 알리다 notification 알림

I saw my friend at school today and I noticed she had gotten a haircut. she came out with (released) a new album, and I noticed her style had changed a little bit. I ran into my friend on the street this morning, and I noticed she looked a little different

• run into ~ 와 마추치다.

I noticed you were drinking a lot of coffee today, did you have trouble sleeping last night?  Recognize – 보고서 뭔지/누군지 알다 /  머리속에서만 알다. 깨닫다./ 알아차리다

This morning, someone said hello to me on the street but I didn’t recognize him Do you recognize this author? 이 책의 저자 누군지 알겠어? She looked very familiar, but I couldn’t recognize her. If you saw your boyfriend’s handwriting, would you recognize it?  Be aware of ~의 존재를 알고 있다 인식(인지)하고 있다

I wasn’t aware of that policy.  They were aware of the rules. They were not aware of the situation at the time. * 그 당시 , 그 시기  Be familiar with 상황이나 어떤 것에 대해 잘 알다, 숙지 하고 있다. 익숙하다.

며칠 전에 서점에 갔는데 어떤 여자가 사람들한테 막 둘러쌓여 있는거야.

무슨 상황이었는지 잘 몰라서 처음에는 그냥 직원 하나가 무료로 뭐 나눠주고 있구나 라고 생각했는데 

좀 더 가까이 가서 보니까 그 여자가 사람들한테 싸인을 해주고 있더라구.

거기가 서점이었으니까 어떤 유명한 작가가 팬들을 위해서 책싸인을 해주고 있구나 싶었지.

B : 누구였어?

몰라, 난 못알아보겠던데. 내가 아는 작가는 아니었던 것 같아.
