Law School Teaches 'Harry Potter'

Most school teach normal subjects, such as math and science.

Recently, however, a law school in India started doing something unusual.

The school began the course in 2018.

Students in the course read the seven "Harry Potter" novels.

They also read books on Indian law.

The students then use their knowledge to discuss some serious issues in the books.

For example, there are many magical creatures in the novels.

Some of these creatures face discrimination.

So, the students discuss the rights of the creatures under Indian law.

The professor created the course because he wants students to improve their critical thinking skills.

He hopes that his students will use what they learn in the real world.

The course became very popular with the law students.

They said they enjoyed seeing Indian law in a new way.

Surprisingly, this is not the first university course to use the "Harry Potter" books.

In Europe and the United States, there have been some literature courses the books.

Other courses have focused on the science and culture of this popular series.
