How much do you think a house in Italy costs?

Amazingly, it might be much cheaper than you think.

Sambuca is a town in Italy.

Recently, it started offering some empty homes for 1 euro each.

That is about 1,300 won.

The mayor of the town launched the sale for a reason.

He wants more people to move to Sambuca.

In the past, Sambuca had about 9,000 people.

Now, the town has only around 5,000 residents.

If people buy a house in Sambuca, they will have to spend more money.

They will need to invest at least 15,000 euros to fix their house up.

Still, thousands of people are excited about the offer.

They have called from many countries, including Spain, Russia, and the United States.

"The whole world has gotten in touch," the mayor said.

Interestingly, Sambuca is not the only town that has sold homes for 1 euro.

Another town in Italy made the same offer last year.
