Bathroom Door handle Cleans Itself

Bathroom door handles can be very unsanitary.

So, two Hong Kong University students have come up with a clever solution.

They invented a door handle that automatically cleans itself.

The door handle is clear, and inside, there is an ultraviolet light.

Also, the handle is coated with a chemical that is toxic to bacteria.

When a person uses the handle, the ultraviolet light is turned on.

This activates the chemical, which kills any bacteria on the handle.

In addition, kinetic energy from opening and closing the door charges the battery that powers the device.

Therefore, the invention runs by itself.

The Hong Kong University students have already won various international awards for their invention.

Soon, the device may make its way to bathrooms around the world.
