Outside Food In Theme Parks

Earlier this year, there was a lawsuit involving a theme park in Shanghai, China.

A law student sued the establishment for its ban on all outside food, which he thought was unfair.

Eventually, the theme park gave in and agreed to allow visitors to bring in food and drinks from the outside.

Despite this win, it is still the policy of most theme parks in the world to disallow outside food.

Theme park officials say that the ban is in place because outside food can cause problems for their parks.

For example, the food may carry bacteria of other harmful substances that can spread to other visitors.

Also, it can crate an excess of trash that would be hard to deal with.

Furthermore, the officials say that outside food could hurt their "bottom line."

Every day, theme parks sell a huge number of meals and snacks to their visitors.

If people decided to bring their food with them instead, this could hurt the revenue of the parks.

On the other hand, many visitors want to bring outside food into theme parks.

They say they are not satisfied with the food sold in the parks, which is often of low quality.

So, they want the option of eating nutritious meals or their favorite snacks, and they can only do this if they bring the food from home.

Moreover, these visitors say that food sold in theme parks is usually too expensive.

Snacks and drinks sometimes cost more than twice as much as they would outside.

These people argue that they already paid a hefty sum for the theme park tickets.

So, they should not be forced to overpay for food on top of that.
