ran into : 우연히 만나다 = meet by chance..., come across

I met her by chance..., I came across an old friend.

 

I ran into my ex-girlfriend on the street yesterday.

> Wow! Don't tell me you chickened out.

I almost sprained my ankle while stepping backwards.

> You should take your mind off her.

Yeah. I think it's time to pull myself together.  마음을 가다듬을 때가 된 것 같다.

> Don't worry. I think you can manage.
