Underwater Military Museum Opens

This year, Jordan created an underwater museum of military machines and vehicles.

Its creators put 19 items on the ocean floor near the Red Coast.

The museum has old firearms, tanks, and trucks.

There is even a helicopter and an airplane.

Everything sits at depths between 15 and 30 meters below the surface.

The museum is an artificial coral reef.

That means it acts like a coral reef in an area without one, and it encourages the growth of fish and coral algae.

In this way, the museum helps the environment.

Moreover, it gives tourists somewhere to go besides areas with real coral reefs, which are delicate.

Tourists can see the museum by diving or snorkeling, or they can tour the area on a boat with a glass floor.
