When children play with Lego building bricks, they learn skills like creativity and problem solving.

Now, they can also learn Braille.

Braille is a language system that uses raised dots to make letters, numbers, and symbols.

It helps blind people or people with a visual impairment read and write through touch.

This year, Lego created Lego Braille Bricks.

These building bricks feature Braille on them, so children can learn the system while building and playing with the toys.

In the United States, only 10 percent of young people with a visual impairment learn Braille.

Instead, they rely on audiobooks and computer software.

Lego hopes to improve the situation by encouraging Braille studies.

A blind entrepreneur suggested the idea of the bricks to Lego.

He hopes the new bricks can inspire blind children everywhere.
