Sports Themed TV Shows

These days, sports themed TV shows have become popular in Korea.

They combine the popularity of sports with the reality television format.

Soccer is the most popular sport in Korea, so naturally, there are many TV show about it.

For example, "JTBC Soccer" features retired sports legends.

They form a team coached by former soccer star Ahn Jeonghwan.

Then, they compete against the best amateur soccer teams in the nation.

"Fly Shoot Dori" is another soccer-themed TV program.

The show brings together children who hope to become professional soccer players someday.

Lee Kang-in of Valencia CF actually appeared on this show in 2007, when he was seven years old.

Meanwhile, Korean traditional wrestling, called ssireum, has not been very popular in recent years.

However, it is gaining many new fans through "Korean Wrestling Ssirum."

In the show, 16 wrestlers train and compete in a tournament.

These athletes have impressed viewers with their amazing wrestling skills.
