I've gotten emails from a lot of publishers proposing to work with me to publish a book, all of which I've either declined or failed to reply to.

• I've gotten emails from someone doing something ~  이메일을 받았다 누구로부터 무엇무엇을 하는 

• .... a book + I have either declined or failed to reply to all of them.

• = a book which I've either declined or failed to reply to

 

 

출판에 대해서 반대하는 것은 아니야. 사실, 내 강의를 토대로 한 책을 원하는 사람이 있다는 것을 잘 알고 있어.

It's not that I'm against the idea of publishing a book. In fact, I'm well aware that there are some people who would really like to see a book based on my lessons.

• It's not that A It's just that B : 사실은 A 가 아니라 B 다

• be against something 무언가에 대해서 반대의 입장/생각을 가지고 있는 것

• It's not that I'm against the publishing.  --> * against the idea of publishing a book.*

• I'm well aware that ~에 대해서 충분히 인지를 하고 있다.

 

 

근데 지금까지 출판사와 내가 내세운 모든 아이디어로 나올 수 있는 책은 이미 존재하는 것들과 크게 다르지 않거나 더 안좋을 수 밖에 없어.

It's just that, all the ideas that have been brought forth so far by publishers and myself can only lead to a book that is no different, if not worse, than the ones that already exist.

• bring forth 앞으로 가져오다  be brought forth 앞으로 가져와지다 

• all the ideas that have been brought forth so far 지금까지 앞으로 가져와진 모든 아이디어들은 

• can only lead to 단지 이어질수밖에 없다.

 

 

현재는, 이미 좋은 책들이 많이 나와 있기 때문에 내가 내놓는 그 어떤 책도 기념품에 지나지 않을거라고 생각해.

At the moment, I believe that any book that I put out would serve more as a souvenir than anything else because there are plenty of really good ones out there.

• put out 내놓다 =  publish 

• put out : 시장에 내놓다.(출품하다)  ;  

• 가정법 would : ~를 할거다

• A serve as B :  A는 B로써의 역할을 하다 

• serve as ~  : ~의 용도가 되다.

• out there 나와있다

 

 

우리가 부족한 것은 도구나 자료가 아닌 노력이라는 것을 잊지 말자.

Let's not forget that it's not the tools or material that we lack. It's the effort.

• it's not A that we lack. it's B : 우리가 부족한게 A가 아니라 B다
