They devote months and even years of their lives to make it possible.

Let's learn about two interesting world travelers and their recent journeys.

Lexie Alford is a 21-year-old woman from the United States.

She may be the youngest person to visit all 196 countries in the world.

Alford's parents run their own travel agency and love to visit new places.

So, by the time she was 18, Alford had already been to 72 countries.

Then, Alford spent the next three years traveling to the remaining nations.

Earlier this year, she stepped into her 196th and final country: North Korea.

This completed her goal of visiting every country in the world.

Jacky Chen is a 40-year-old man from Taiwan.

In 2015, he quit his job as an electronic engineer.

Then, he began riding his bike around the world.

By the first half of 2019, he had pedaled more than 50,000 kilometers and visited over 60 countries.

They include the United States, Peru, Ireland, and Israel.

Now, Chen plans to go to 40 more countries over the next three years.

He will add at least 50,000 kilometers to his bicycle journey.
