There is an unusual park in Arkansas, the United States.

It is named Crater of Diamonds State Park.

Many people visit the park to have a good time.

But they also go there hoping to get rich.

Over 100 years ago, the park began as a diamond mine.

However, the miners did not find enough diamonds there, and later, it was shut down.

Then, in 1972, the Arkansas government turned the area into a state park.

There are many tiny diamonds still buried in the park.

Interestingly, the government decided to make a "finders, keepers" policy.

Anyone who unearths a diamond is allowed to keep it.

Because of this policy, the park has become a popular tourist destination.

Thousands of people go there in the summer when the rain washes away a lot of the dirt.

Since 1972, over 29,000 diamonds have been discovered by the park visitors.

Most of the diamonds in the park are tiny, but sometimes, they are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
