NASA is the space agency of the United Sates.

It usually makes rockets and rovers for outer space.

Sometimes, NASA also builds things for Earth.

They are called "x-planes," or experimental planes.

This way, NASA tries out new ideas for aircrafts.

Recently, NASA showed its latest x-plane.

It's name X-57 Maxwell.

It's an electric airplane.

This plane has huge wings.

It has 12 small electric motors and propellers.

It also has two bigger propellers on its wingtip.

The X-57 does not use a lot of electricity.

SO, it can fly for a very long time on its battery.
