Banning Plastic Bags

The Korean government recently made a big decision.

It decided to ban large supermarkets and department stores from using single-use plastic bags.

Now, many people are wondering whether it is fair to stop these companies from using these plastic bags.

Some people believe it is fair to prevent these stores from using the plastic bags because plastic waste is a huge environmental problem.

It is polluting the earth's oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams.

Large companies could be adding to this problem because they give out lots of plastic bags.

Also, some people claim that large supermarkets and department stores will get used to the change quickly.

At first, it might be inconvenient not to have single-use plastic bags.

Later, though, they will adapt and use other alternatives, including paper and cloth bags.

However, other people argue that it is unfair to target only large supermarkets and department stores.

Smaller stores could be part of the environmental problem, too.

As a result, the government should force all stores to stop using single-use plastic bags.

Furthermore, completely banning plastic bags could be too inconvenient.

Large supermarkets and department stores need to have other alternatives first.

Then, it would be okay to stop them from using these plastic bags.
