#. Musicians Offer Free Online Performances
Like almost everywhere else, the coronavirus pandemic has hit the culture industry hard.
Many theaters have had to temporarily shut down, while concerts and performances both here and abroad have been cancelled or postponed.
But instead of getting down, performers and organizations are finding ways to make the best of the situation.
Many are streaming free content via video platforms and social media.
This way, they are helping culture lovers at home get through these difficult times.
@ Classical Music, Musical, and Plays.
The most famous classical organizations in the world have put up free videos of their concerts and performances online.
For example, the Berlin Philharmonic is offering over 600 concerts on its website until April 30.
Also, the Metropolitan Opera and the Vienna State Opera are providing a number of past performances online until at least early April.
The video content is being streamed in high quality.
In Korea, two major cultural venues also participated in the trend.
In March and early April, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts and Seoul Arts Center steamed classical concerts, musicals, and plays on their respective YouTube channels.
@ Pop Music
In pop music, the so-called "together at home" concerts have become a hot trend.
It was started in mid-March by Chris Martin, the lead singer of the British rock band Coldplay.
After his band's world tour was postponed, the gave a 30-minute acoustic performance from home and live-streamed it on his social media account.
Other famous musicians, including John Legend and Charlie Puth, followed suit.
The campaign spread to Korean singers, who also began performing live through social media.
Musicians like 10cm, Daybreak, and Sunwoo Jung-a have held simple virtual concerts for their fans.
Like almost everywhere else 다른 거의 모든 곳에서처럼, 거의 모든 분야에 그랬듯이
