Announcer Becomes Top Entertainer

Jan Sung-kyu is a former announcer of the cable channel, JTBC.

After quitting his job, however, he has become one of the hottest stars in the entertainment world.

Jang joined JTBC in 2011 as a rookie announcer.

He appeared in several TV shows, including the variety program " Knowing  Brothers."

He started to gain notice for his witty use of words.

Earlier this year, however, Jang announced his plan to leave JTBC and become an entertainer.

Since changing careers, Jang has gained a huge following and has appeared in a number of hit TV shows.

Among his many programs, Jang is widely known for his show on YouTube, titled "Work Man."

In the show, the entertainer takes on the challenge of learning different part-time jobs.

So far, he has worked as a movie theater attendant, a convenience store clerk,  an amusement part staff member, and more.

Through the program, he shows how hard the employees of different jobs work and how much they get paid.

Fans say they like the straightforward comments that he makes as he performs the jobs.

As of early October, over 2.8 million viewers subscribed to Jang's Youtube Channel.

Recently, Jang made headlines by starting his own radio program, titled "Good Morning FM."

It airs on MBC FM from 7 to 9 a.m. when most people head to work.

Listens of the show say his lively voice and cheerful words are perfect for early morning commutes.
