#. Countries Observe Daylight Saving Time

On March 8, people in the United States observed Daylight Saving Time (DST).

They simultaneously adjusted their clocks forward by on hour.

DST is used to give people more time in sunlight.

Along with the U.S., various countries in North America, Europe, and South America take part in it.

Many of these places lose daylight hours when seasons change.

In winter, they become darker earlier in the day.

To compensate for this, they set their clocks forward in March.

Then, as winter approaches in November, they set the clocks back an hour.

Many people love DST because they can enjoy more time in the sun.

Businesses stay open later, and everyone saves on energy by using fewer lights.

Others, however, don't like DST because it can be hard to adjust to the new time.

For some people, it can even affect the quality of their sleep.
