'Friends' Celebrates 25th Anniversary

On September 22, the famous U.S.television series, "Friends," celebrated its 25th anniversary.

In many ways, the sitcom remains as popular as ever.

"Friends" revolved around a group of people in their 20s and 30s living in New York City.

In each episode, the six friends experienced life and love in the Big Apple, with hilarious results.

Oftentimes, the characters were shown hanging out together at Central Park, their favorite coffee shop.

However busy or chaotic their lives could get, they always made time for each other.

The sweet and funny sitcom was a success when it premiered on September 22, 1994.

It remained on the air for 10 seasons and 236 episodes, and grew into a worldwide hit.

When the finale was broadcast on May 6, 2004, it was watched by over 52 million people in the U.S. alone.

Many fans hope that "Friends" would someday return with new episodes.

So far, the six main actors of the show have said they had no plans for a comeback.

However, that has not stopped the sitcom from staying popular even after all these years.

"Friends" has especially become a favorite among a new generation of viewers, many of whom were born after the show's first season.

They enjoy watching reruns of the episodes through streaming services.
