Student's Moon Paining Takes Top Prize

Kim Hae-in is a 12-year-old elementary school student from Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.

In September, she made headlines for winning a top prize at an international children's art contest.

The art contest was organized by the International Astronomical Union.

It was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing on July 20, 1969.

A total of 400 children from 28 countries submitted their moon-related drawings.

Kim's drawing received the grand prize in the 10 to 12 Age category.

She was praised for her realistic depiction of the lunar surface.

"I wanted to scream when I heard the news," said Kim in an interview.

"I still can't believe that I won."
