# What's ~ like? What's your new teacher like?

What's the weather gonna be like this Saturday?

> The weather reporter said it was gonna be raining.

I get the feeling that we should call off our trip.

> Boy! it totally slipped my mind.

Don't tell me you were going to go alone behind my back.

> No way. I'll just go with the flow.

  • get the feeling that...

I get the feeling that she doesn't like me.

But, I get the feeling that people just want to mourn peacefully.  How can you get the feeling that “I am a loser” when you don't try to get something first?

(=cancel; summon, take away.)

Please call off your dogs!    We may have to call off the party.   to call off a deal / trip / strike

  • behind one's back  ~ 몰래 / ~의 뒤에서    Talking behind somebody's back is a nasty thing to do.

Have you been talking about me behind my back?     They went ahead and sold it behind my back

  • go with the flow

@ What's sb / sth like?

What's the rookie like?

> Outgoing. He likes to hang out with people.

@ It slipped one's mind

You were supposed to see me for dinner.

> I'm sorry! It totally slipped my mind.

@ Don't tell me + S + V

  • Don't tell me Bluewater told a lie.

  • Don't tell me he left...

  • Don't tell me you did it...

  • Don't tell me you can't do it...

  • Don't tell me it's snowing outside.

  • Don't tell me you want to go out with me.

Don't tell me you have changed your mind.

> No. Don't jump to conclusions. Don't rush to the conclusion.

Are you still waiting for a call from that company? It's almost 9 p.m. You should relax.

> I know, but I really want to work there. And if they don't give me a call tonight, It's obvious that I'm not hired.

Honey, don't jump to conclusions. There are ton's of other reasons why they might not call at night. Get some rest. I'm sure they'll call tomorrow.

@ go with the flow

  • I just want to go with the flow.

  • I wasn't very keen on the decision but it was easier just to go with the flow.

How about a drink this evening?

> I don't care. I'll go with the flow.
