A first-edition copy of a Harry Potter book was auctioned recently.
A buyer in the United Kingdom paid 69,000 pounds, or about 101 million won, for the rare item.
The book, titled "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," is the first book in the popular series.
The story was later renamed "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" for the U.S. edition, as well as the movie.
The very first U.K. edition is considered especially unique because it contained typos.
The biggest typo was on the back cover, where the title of the book was misspelled.
The word "Philosopher" had a missing letter O.
Editors eventually removed the typos from later editions of the book.
So, these errors proved the first edition's authenticity.
Over the years, other unique Harry Potter books have sold for significant sums of money.
For example, copies signed by Rowling have sold for several thousand U.S. dollars.
