The coral reef is a kind of underwater community.

It is made up of sea animals called corals.

They look like a plants.

The coral reef is also full of unique fish.

In a healthy reef, fish and corals make many sounds.

So, it is actually very noisy there.

Unfortunately, some coral reefs don't have enough fish.

So, some Australian scientists did something interesting.

They recorded sounds from a healthy coral reef.

Then, they put speakers near empty coral reefs.

When they played the sounds, many fish returned to the empty coral reefs.

In the future, this may keep other coral reefs healthy, too.
