Skyscraper are built with concrete and steel.

But would you believe that some tall buildings will now be made with wood?

Architects in different countries are planning to build wooden skyscrapers.

They include an 80-story building in Canada and a 70-story high-rise in Japan.

Wooden buildings look creative and relaxing.

However, the way they look is just one of their many benefits.

Using wood is also better for the environment.

Unlike concrete, plastic, and steel, it does not take a lot of fossil fuels to make wood.

Also, wood is easy to recycle and costs less.

Furthermore, scientists have found ways to make wood strong and durable.

They have also developed chemicals that make wood more fire-resistant.

Thanks to these improvements, wood can now be used as a building material for taller buildings.

One problem with wood is that it can be too flexible.

Wooden skyscrapers might sway when the wind is strong.

So, architects are using different designs to solve this problem.

Still, there are more benefits than drawbacks.

Therefore, we may see many wooden skyscrapers rising up in the future.
