#. 영어회화 | 표현 | "상관없어요"의 2가지 의미와 영어로 표현하는 방법

 

우리가 일상적으로 "상관 없어요." 라는 표현을 자주 쓰는데 두 가지의 다른 의미로 사용한다.

1. (어느 것으로 하든) 중요하지 않다  matter 2. 무엇에 영향을 준다 안준다 (연관성/관련성)  

• have (  ?  )  to do with   /  concern : 서로 관련성이 있을 때

• be related to : 서로 연관성이 있을 때

우리 말에서는 각각의 상황에서 똑같이 그냥 "상관 없다"라고 할 수가 있지만 영어에서는 다른 표현을 사용하는 것이 일반적이다.  이번 영상에서는 이것을 어떻게 구분하는지 배우고 각 상황에서 어떻게 표현을 해야 자연스러운지 배워봅니다.

1. 어떻게하는게 중요한건지 아닌지

어떤식으로 하든 상관없다,

좀 더 감정적으로는

I don't care what he says  

( 그게 뭔 상관이야 )

2. 영향을 주고 안주고 (연관성말고 영향에 초점 맞춰져 있음,)

그게 지금 이거랑 뭔 상관이야?

(have st to do with -> st이 앞으로가서 what으로 나타냄)

 

저것은 이거랑 아무 상관이 없어요 That has nothing to do with this.

this has nothing to do with you

 

이것은 상관이 많아

this has a lot to do with that. have little to do with

 

그것은 나랑 아무 상관이 없어.

That doesn't have anything to do with me.

 

이것은 너랑 아무상관이 없어

This has nothing to do with you.  3. 비교적 좀 더 격식을 갖춘 관련성

This doesn't concern you (근본적 의미는 같지만 어감상 해석하면 이건 당신한테 해당되지 않는다.)  추천표현 have something to do with (일상생활에서 주로쓰면 좋음)

it’s because of the weather.

It's because of the worsening economy.

 

• it has something to do with weather 좀 더 조심스럽게 접근하므로 직접적으로 이거때문이다! 라는것보다 더 좋을 듯

 

Why does this happen?

• It's because of the worsening economy.   * worsen  ˈwɜːrsn  악화되다,악화시키다 

• it has something to do with the worsening economy.

• it has a lot to do with worsening economy.

• 영향이 크고 많고 ~~
