#. Flat out
Hey guys! Today's English expression is "flat out." To do something "flat out" means to do something as fast or as hard as you possibly can.
It can also mean to do something with all your effort. Now listen to a dialogue between two friends talking about work. Listen closely for the expression "flat out."
Hey Jack, how's your business going?
> It's going well, but I'm working flat out all day.
Why don't you hire someone to help out?
> I've been thinking about it. Anyway, how's your job going?
I'm working flat out as well. I haven't had a day off in 3 weeks!
Wow, you should take a breaK!
Remember to do something flat out means to do something with all your effort or to do something as fast or as hard as you possibly can. Try to use this expression the next time you're very busy or working hard at something. Thanks for listening and have a wonderful day.
