우리나라 사람들이 영어를 배우면서 의외로 굉장히 어려워하는 숫자 말하기,  조금씩 배워보자. 이번 영상에서 배우는 표현들 : 1. 30분에서 45분 2. ~에 따라서 길게는 1시간에서 1시간 반 3. 1시간 이상

 

A: 시간이 얼마 정도 걸릴거 같아? How long do you think it's going to take? 

How long do you thinkit'll take?   B:보통은 30분에서 45분 정도 걸리는데,

Normally, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

Normally, it takes about half an hour to 45 minutes. 근데 몇시에 출발하느냐에 따라서 길게는 1시간에서 1시간 반 걸릴수도 있어.

But depending on what time we leave it can take as long as an hour to an hour and a half.

 

• 따라서 depending on ~ 명사 (절) 몇시에 출발하느냐에 ~ 

• Depending on what time we leave ~ 

• 출발하다 leave 사용

• start, depart는 정해진 시간의 운송수단의경우 사용 이 경우는 안맞음. 버스 비행기 기차

 

• 걸릴수도 있어

• it can take: 평소에도 실제로도 그런일이 자주 일어나는것 . 경험으로 알고 있음.

• It might take:지금 처한 상황에서 앞으로 그럴수도 있음.

 

• As long as: 길게는 (범위) /  ~하는한

• Up to  길게는 - 그게 최대치일 경우 

 

• 한시간 반(표현)

• 1 hour and 30 minutes

• 1 and a half hours

• An hour and a half.

근데 퇴근시간에만 안걸리면 1시간 이상은 안걸릴꺼야.

But unless we get caught in(during) rush hour, it shouldn't take more than an hour.

 

• it shouldn't take 내가 알고 있는 일의 경험과 지식을 바탕으로 얘기를 할때쓰임.

• it's not going to take 써도 되지만, 정확히는 지금 현재 이상황만 놓고 보았을때 앞으로 어떻게 될것인가를 얘기할때쓰임.
