#. Voting Age Lowered

This year, many high school seniors got a new right.

They are now allowed to take part in elections.

Like every country, Korea has a voting age.

In the past, you had to be at least 19 years old to vote.

Then in December 2019, the Korean government lowered the voting age to 18.

That means many high school seniors will be able to vote, too.

Many people are happy with this decision.

They say 18-year-olds are adults.

So, these teenagers are mature enough to choose the nation's leaders.
